The Dances Of The Cultures

There is the Indian dancing, famous from India a place called Gujurat. It is called the garba, You could clap your hands three times turning side to side to side. If you wanted you could do an eight step, side to side moving back two times side to side then turning in four steps with your hands moving side to side along with it.

Then when you went to the North Part of India, There is the classical dance called Kathak, where you move your feet from right to left eight times tapping with your hands moving side to side and circling up or down. Then you can raise both hands crossing it in the air and jump on both feet at the same time. Moving side to side with the beat of the table instrument playing.

With the beat of the tabla you take both your hands over your head turning then face the front and take your feet and tapping eight counts with your right hand moving forward then your left, then crossing your hand to the side and then to the front.

There is the Bharat Natyam, dance from South India, bending both feet towards the side then jumping from your right leg to your left leg with one leg towards the back, moving your hands side to side. You also could move your head and your eyes side to side, with facial expressions.

You face forward bending both legs, hands front then to the side and then take both hands infront turning it inside and back out, then you can jump side crossing one leg behind and then the other leg crossing jumping to the other side, with hands moving side to side at the same time, then crossing one leg over the other leg moving forward.

Then there was the zumba, A latin dance including salsa, meringue, axe, samba and cumbia created by Alberto "Beto" Perez You could move both hands high, then low, or move your feet twisting side to side with your hands moving side to side. You can take your feet forward forward than back and back, than forward right leg cross left leg twice then on other side forward left leg then cross left leg side to side, with the beat of the zumba music.

You take one hand to the side and the other hand up moving in a circle, then you do the merenge crossing with bending hands to the bottom then to the top. You can also do the salsa, cross your legs to the right three times, then twice, then to the left side. and repeat it two or three times. You can also , take your right foot over your left, then middle then to the back, and do the same with your right leg, hands are one to the side and one hand up.

Then there is hip hop dancing, mainly from African Americans, danced with rap music. You moved forward side to side, then you could shake your hips turning it. Then you could circle around and clap your hands.

With hip hop, you can cross your right leg over your left then your right leg and then move your right hips then your left hips. then you do the grape vine, face the right side, and move your hands forward and then do the grapevine to the left and move your hands forward. then you kick your leg out, turn three times and face the front again, then you do a whole hip circle. then you sway your hands right and then left as you cross your legs back. then you circle to the right and clap your hands and then circle to the left and clap your hands.

Then there was bally dancing, which is an Arab dance in which you were on your toes, with a straight back posture, having your arms left arm to side, right arm up, almost similar to a classical Kathak pose, with the arms, and one feet in the back. This move includes moving shoulders hips and stomach, mostly moving your hip and pelvic area.

Then there was jazz dancing, where you took one right leg up then cicked it out and turned the movements could be similar to doing balley dancing.

The dance of the cultures all had a straight posture, with facial expressions and going with the music, and circling in it. The steps went with the rhythm, You could move your feet, side to side twice and your hands side to side with it twice also.

Dances from different cultures, explained facial expressions, with gracefull hand and feet movement.

They told stories. The classical Kathak, could explain the dance of Lord Krishna, with the hands and feet moving. Bharatnatyam told the story with eyes moving.

Both of these dances could be used in Indian Bollywood movies. The classical Kathak, from the North including dancing of Courteseans.

Balley also told stories, with its beautiful hand and feet gracefulness.

The dance had emotions and almost felt as if you were flying as you told your story.
